CWILL Product Reviews x Klaviyo Integration Guide

After integrating CWILL Product Reviews with Klaviyo, merchants can create automated flows in Klaviyo based on review request and review submission events. These flows can be used to send review invitations, segment customers, trigger follow-up marketing, or notify the support team for further action.

This integration mainly includes two capabilities:

  1. Trigger Klaviyo Events

When a customer receives a review request or successfully submits a review, CWILL Product Reviews will sync the corresponding event to Klaviyo.

  2. Sync Profile Properties

After a customer successfully submits a review, CWILL Product Reviews will sync the customer’s review status, total review count, latest review content, and other related information to their Klaviyo profile properties.

1. Trigger Events

This integration includes the following triggers. The core event is CWILL Review Requests, which is used to send review invitations.

1. CWILL Review Requests / CWILL Review Requests Reminder

These two events are used to send review invitation emails to customers:

  • CWILL Review Requests: Used to send the first review request email.

  • CWILL Review Requests Reminder: Used to send the review request reminder email.

Merchants can use these two events to create automated flows in Klaviyo, such as sending the initial review request email or sending a reminder email if the customer has not submitted a review yet.

Both events sync the same fields:

Order_number, Customer_name, Customer_email, Customer_Phone_number, shop_name, shop_url, n_days_ago, product_title_1, Product_ID_1, Variant_ID_1, Variant_Name_1, Product_images_url_1, Product_name_1, review_url_1

2. CWILL Review Submitted

This event is triggered when a customer successfully submits a review. Merchants can use this event for follow-up marketing, such as:

  • Inviting customers to join a loyalty program

  • Sending thank-you emails

  • Offering discount codes

  • Notifying support teams to follow up on low-rating reviews

This event syncs the following fields:

Review_date, Review_content, Rating, Author, Author_Email, Country, Product_handle, Product_ID, Order_ID, Photo_Url, Item_type

3. CWILL Positive Review Submitted

This event is triggered when a customer submits a positive review.

Whether a review is considered positive depends on the merchant’s setting in Threshold for positive reviews.

For example, when the merchant selects 4 stars and above:

  • 4-star and 5-star reviews trigger CWILL Positive Review Submitted

  • 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star reviews trigger CWILL Negative Review Submitted

4. CWILL Negative Review Submitted

This event is triggered when a customer submits a negative review.

Negative reviews are also determined based on the Threshold for positive reviews setting. Merchants can use this event to create low-rating review follow-up flows, such as notifying support teams, sending compensation emails, or creating internal follow-up tasks.

Trigger Logic

Whenever a customer successfully submits a review, the base event will always be triggered:

CWILL Review Submitted

If the review also meets the positive or negative review criteria, the corresponding event will be triggered as well.

For example, when a customer submits a 4-star review and the merchant has set 4 stars and above as the positive review threshold, the following events will be triggered at the same time:

  • CWILL Review Submitted

  • CWILL Positive Review Submitted

2. Profile Property Sync

After a customer successfully submits a review, CWILL Product Reviews will sync review-related information to Klaviyo profile properties. Merchants can use these properties for customer segmentation, automation flow conditions, or personalized message content.
